Evening All,

In October, 1994, 60009 UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA made it's first trip out of London's King's Cross station and travelled up the East Coast Main Line to Peterborough where it reversed and ran onto the Nene Valley Railway via the Fletton Loop which links the NVR to the main line.  This was the first time that a special train had run onto the Nene Valley from the outside world.  The A4 did a further run on the NVR before retuning to King's Cross in the evening.

I was there with my video camera and my footage from that day is now on my YouTube channel; as well as the A4 there is also footage of 7819 HINTON MANOR which was visiting the NVR at the time.  Here's the link if anyone would like to have a look:

Hope it's of interest.

Hmm, I think I was there - I have no recollection of going but found these negatives a while back.

That looks like the occasion.  It ran on both the Saturday and Sunday, so your photos could be from either day.
