Express Models Lighting kit Lima HST

I have managed to fit the lighting kit to the power car but the dummy car has left me confused and I can get nothing out of it. Nothing from the decoder or the lights! I presume you take power from track left and right. I am using a socket. I have connected the white, blue and yellow wire to the corresponding pad on the socket for the decoder but nothing happens! The decoder works, as I’ve tried it in a different loco. Has anyone got any ideas or a wiring diagram please?! Thanks.

the wires should be connected as follows

track feed - red to pin 8, black to pin 4, 

the blue wire to pin 7,

white to pin 6,

yellow to pin 2.

Try putting the both the power and dummy on the programming track together to program. I've 2 hsts that I've fitted lights to and that's what I had to do.
