With the impending arrival of the Dapol Class 59's, we have been working on our New Class 59 project, which is actually recorded from a real 59 !!!

The distinctive Class 59 sounds can be heard in this little movie.  We are enthustically waiting for the model to arrive so we can fine tune our project, to suit the actual Dapol production model with its array of lighting features.

Sit back with some popcorn and enjoy the movie.

Just got in some new speakers, thought we would pop them in a Class 25, one was Ok but I was not impressed, so for a £10.00 I thought I would put in TWO., Now sounds far better I think !!!  Le5t me know If you want some.  Charlie.

No mods to anything, get them here:   https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=223_75&product_id=379

The reason I asked the question is because on DC Kits website it says ‘If using two speakers with a ESU Decoder they should be wired in Series’. Therefore I (incorrectly) assumed the speakers to be rated at 4ohms each. If they are rated at 8ohms each then that is good to know as I prefer to fit twin speakers in my locos wired in parallel.

Are these speakers rated at 4ohm or 8ohm?

These are 8 Ohm speakers, so fitting two together is easy, just wire on Parallel for reasonable sounds as demonstrated.

get them here:   https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=223_75&product_id=379

See wiring sketch below, very easy to fit.   Charlie

Thank you for everyone who we chatted to at the N Gauge show and especially the ones who gave us some 'Money' !!! and also for the Pre-orders on the new Farish locos for sound fitting. Brilliant to meet you all.

Its great to be getting back to normal, as thats the only proper way you can assess if our sounds are any good or not.  Youtube is good 'BUT' you really need to hear with your own ears before you buy in my opinion, so thanks to everyone we met.    Charlie, Arran & Simon.

We never realised how popular Class 08's were, thanks for the 'mad rush' on every one out there ordering them !!.  Especially on O Gauge, we have a demo one with 3 speakers, any why not.
