Graham108
A couple of questions regarding these if anybody's added them to their models: 1) does the addition of the speedo cable have much impact on the rotational movement of the bogie? I'm trying to 'dry' fit without glueing to try on my layout but it doesn't want to stay in the holes without permanent fixing 2) looking at the buffer beam pipework nothing is coloured as per others locos - I've reviewed images on the web and I can't see anything conclusive so should any of them be painted before fitting? steveb860
Have you tried something like maskol , tackywax or bluetac to temporarily fit the speedo cable for testing?
Wheatley
The MU jumper cable sockets and plugs under the buffers seem to have started off white or pale grey on most liveries, the last couple of inches of the vac pipes where they meet the headstock should be blue (lh) and red (rh). None of this seems to have lasted long in service before getting covered in track grot and brake dust though.

Thanks for the blu-tac tip - I'll try that later Graham
NickL2008
The Speedometer drive doesnt impact the rotation of the bogie too much, unless your curves are very small, smaller than 1st radius it shouldnt affect it too much at all NL
