CazRail Posted March 11, 2021 Author Share Posted March 11, 2021 Been working slowly bit by bit on this scene... Added a little more sculptamold, a bit more base green, and a few more details. I've also now extended the retaining wall along the up line. The top of this will basically be vegetation. Also put in a bit of an area for S&T's 'loc' cabinets. CazRail Posted April 21, 2021 Author Share Posted April 21, 2021 Been a quiet month or so on the layout due to different aspects of life, but a couple of purchases have been made. 66113 in DB Key Workers livery from Rainbow Railways, which was more of an impulse buy after the real one passed me at work in Penyffordd last month. And the latest one, 57307 Lady Penelope in Virgin Trains livery... This one's been a long time coming, but Im well pleased with it. It looks 'the bizz' hauling my Pendolino Both these locos, as well as my ATW 57315 have Illuminated Model's excellent headlight upgrade PCBs on their way, so looking forwards to get them sorted. CazRail Posted May 6, 2022 Author Share Posted May 6, 2022 Been a good while since I've posted here, and despite no progress being achieved on the layout itself, a few locos and wagons have been through the works for weathering and various other jobs, including a couple of class 60s and my Revolution IWA holdalls. Today, however, some new arrivals turned up, in the form of two Bachmann 20/3s in original DRS livery. Both being numbered 20306, one was swiftly re-numbered to 20311. Both are currently awaiting Zimo economy decoders which havent arrived yet, but I have plans to sound fit both locos. Additionally, both will be weathered and hopefully SMDs into the cab end WIPACs to get the marker lights illuminated. (I still don't understand how Bachmann couldn't do this, when Hornby did it on their 60's about 15 years ago!) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The overall scene is a mash-up of Dee Marsh, Shottwick and Llandudno Junction, creating traincrew depot/loco stabling point/carriage and wagon inspection point... 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
