RobinofLoxley
Just a small point, when you come to build it will be better if the lift-out section is using straight track. Im sure you would have done that but you never know.
Newmodeller96
Hi Everyone, it’s been a month or so since I last posted and have begun laying track and testing what it’s like! I’m wondering whether anyone has any ideas of how I could add another level to the layout?
Satan's Goldfish
What would you want another level to do? stand alone separate system or gradients up and down to it?

I think because of the space I have it would probably have to be a separate system.
RMweb Premium JDW Posted February 14, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 14, 2021 In that case, if it'd be a complete separate system, considering how much ummm-ing and ahhhh-ing its taken to get this far, I'd go ahead and build this layout first before thinking about adding something else. You're not going to get much above the existing tracks in the same scenic area, you don't have space for a separate oval on a higher level one behind the other, so I'd just get on and build what you have. Something like the EMU sidings could be on a slightly lower level (or the main lines a slightly higher level) for variety, but that's more a centimetre or two difference rather than a whole new level. 2
Satan's Goldfish
^ What he said ^ I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but remember to walk before you run. Get the current layout built and running first.

Get the current layout built and running first. This is good sense! I think you will find you have your hands full with scenic work and operating sessions without the added work, cost and stress of a second level/layout. Best of luck!
