The landscaping is looking great and reminds me that I am running out of excuses for not getting on with mine!

Thanks for that. I realised early on that this section was key to the whole layout. As this area will hopefully, show the ruggedness of Dartmoor. And more importantly, show Bovey Tor's tor, in all its glory.

So I decided it would be very useful to build this whole section as a separate module. Then it can be worked on up close, instead of reaching across the whole board. And then give it the same level of detail as the buildings.

So would Geoffrey Smith (remember him?).

Drawing a blank here, I'm afraid.

Also, I'm curious where "trout" fits into the recipe?

Just dropped  in for my daily inspiration. Not disappointed :)Out of interest, what pigments are you using in the mix?

Alex

Thanks for that Alex. Burnt sienna and burnt umber powder paint. It's just a matter of adding them gradually till you get something suitable.

Happy to be finally at the static grass stage. But first we need a layer of the finest Devonshire soil. Using my recipe of dried soil from the garden plus pigments and grout. Next will add larger particles etc. And then on with the grass.

Many thanks Rob. Hope you're feeling better now. Nothing like a new project to help lift the spirit.

I am, thank you, George and I'm enjoying the research into the Isle of Wight. I'll never be an expert but hopefully I will acquire sufficient working knowledge to prove convincing.......ish
