Marvellous, George. Absolutey marvellous.

Thanks Mick, for yours and all the other positive comments. Really enjoying this part of the build because as I said before, it's really the key to placing this layout in Dartmoor.

Still need to add foliage and details.

Definitely a strong wing coming in from the South West, nicely captured George.

Looking great. Will the footpath cross over the turnout?

John

Thanks John. No the barrow crossing will be a bit further up, by the SB.

The path itself has been there for years even though the PW office have tried to block it off in the past, citing safety issues. However, it's a useful shortcut to the village.

Thanks Alex.

Starting with 3 strand twine. 1. Knotted and cut into various sizes.  2. Combed to separate the strands. 3. Stained with oil paint mixed to a deep green. 4. Cotton thread tie off above knot. Then the knot is cut and the end is dipped into PVA. 5. Trimming with small scissors to tease and shape. (Haircut). 6. 2mm dark green static grass applied. 7. After fixing in place very fine golden yellow scatter is sprinkled over. (Sieve the scatter first, as the grains are too big straight out of the bag.)

Ah, yes! Of gorse.

Lastly, once all the bushes are in place, we'll be tweaking the individual plants. By adding more flowers by hand and adjusting the height and spread. Just sprinkling scatter randomly, is not as effective as most of it just falls to the ground.
