Matador
What manufactures are they that make Building kits featuring stone. Lived in the US since 83 originally from Yorkshire going back to my roots, building a Branch terminus want the buildings to have a N Yorkshire look to them. The closest to Yorkshire stone (a yellow sandstone) that I have used is Scalescenes Ashlar, but that may still be a little dark for you depending on how weathered you want. Test print with the different finishes is here: Scalescenes Test print Roy
RMweb Gold Andy W Posted February 3, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 3, 2021 Also depends whereabouts in Yorkshire! For example, there are/were lots of real-life branches in South and West Yorkshire where the surviving railway and general stone buildings are heavily soot-blackened. Head into North Yorkshire and the buildings are much more lightly weathered.

gordon s
...Or how about Townstreet. I haven't checked if they still make the stone buildings, but very enjoyable to make from their plaster mouldings. https://townstreetuk.co.uk/brochures/catalogue2.pdf Edited February 26, 2021 by gordon s
