Mark Dickerson
Although I'm tempted to do an almost-was(?) black livery on it, I'd like to paint a resin Met Bo-Bo body in wartime Service Grey. I thought I'd seen a specific tinlet in a bus range but can't find it now. Does anyone have an alternative? Halford's grey primer looks like it might be ok, but I was wondering what other people have used.
Jeff Smith
The one colour picture I have shows a somewhat faded medium grey in the early fifties. It's possible that the same grey was used as on wagons and brake vans. Pictures I've seen of the Heljan version in grey seem a bit light to me but printed or digital pictures can be deceptive. I would use a medium or dark sea grey with bauxite or darker grey roof and crimson window frames and gutter. The Vallejo range should supply all you need. Mark Dickerson
Thanks. I'd be looking at a last-few-months condition so it might allow a little latitude.
