RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2021 Hi I'm in the middle of building a stone railway bridge using cardboard. What I want to know is will I be able to add a thin layer of plaster over the top of the cardboard so I can etch in the stone work without it warping. RMweb Gold ikcdab Posted February 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2021 Everything depends on how thick your cardboard is. If it's at least 2mm then I think you'll be ok. Keep the plaster on the dry side.

Or have you thought of using modelling clay?
RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted February 5, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2021 Hi Ian I have not thought about modelling clay. Normally I add some water to my filler but if I apply it without water and adding sparingly with my fingers it should be ok.
