How long was 37411/D6990 in green livery?

I was bemused to see this loco back in green with its old number as it was the first centre-headcode 37 I ever saw, heading one of those M5 construction fly-ash HAA workings through Bristol Temple Meads with 6985 on 24/7/70. I'd already managed to see five split-box ones by then, despite being Cornwall-based (taking advantage of family visits 'up-country'!)

That Cardiff picture really does look like a model. Anyway, may I congratulate the members of the forum; after almost twenty-four hours nobody has yet responded to the OP’s question, “How long was 37411/D6990 in green livery?” with the answer, “the same length as it was in every other livery”.

That is because everyone (bar one!) treated the enquiry as a serious question!

I know we all need light relief in the current situation, and I am often the first to mark a reply as "funny" but, those replies so marked, usually, are clearly light hearted!

Some locos , who were accident prone, probably ended up slightly shorter than they started?

Take care

22 hours ago, great central said:

One cab still exists, in the car park/ beer garden of a Derby pub. The name escapes me at the moment but it's next door to the Brunswick Inn within sight of the line just north of Derby station. Last time I saw it some weeks ago it looked rather sorry.

Alexandra. Has a few items of railwayana on display.
