Ive noticed that the speedometre is reading 40 mph, but the loco has to be stationary in order to see it. How has this been missed, what a catastrophe, Im cancelling my preorders i cannot live with such inaccuracy! Seriously, have you seen the dials, that detail is tiny! Have ordered my blue 25 and like what I see in the pics. Don't care for the "other" 25 being done as the face looks wrong and there are a few things on the body that don't look right too in my eyes. Never mind the 'hand of god' what about the 'eyes of god'? Considering we spend most of the time looking down our models from above, SLW doesn't skimp on roof detail... (Mind you, we quite like putting detail even where you can't see it!) This the central engine access panel on our new Class 25. Note the lifting points, unequal spacing of the distinctive securings and a nice panel line surround. Oh, we also decided to have some fun and add a representation of the rivet pattern echoing the structural framing underneath on our rendition of the semi-transparent fibre-glass covering. Go compare... Wow ... for one of the best “small suppliers manufacturers” around, these models outshine those made by the big boys, who have their own pages. Here, at SLW HQ we are pleased to be able to show a little 'extra' that will be provided with our version of well-loved 'celebrity' D7672 TAMWORTH CASTLE in retro-green (Cat No. 2532). These locos had collision damage and lost their headboard clips and central lamp iron at the No. 2 end, making them look a little plain-faced. Of course, we had to do the same in miniature! Do I regret buying one? No, but it will certainly be the only one and it represents a valuable lesson learned...For now I feel like I owe myself an apology from being impatient and curious enough to fold and buy one, so I should probably think about that third SLW Rat. The good news is that apparently theyre selling well, so you should be able to shift it on ebay quite easily, then reinvest in the better version. I genuinely enjoyed ripping into the one I bought, so it was a worthwhile purchase even if the intention isn't to hold on to it. Lets just say I'm not overly impressed with it both visually or in its functionality. The lighting on it is particularly poor. It runs well but the 'bells and whistles' are in the stone age. IKB is right, it should be easy to sell on when the SLW model arrives being as 'its sold out at the warehouse' as our Heljan contact so gleefully riposted after I laid in a little thick; and that was the intention when I caved in. I think a bigger regret for me would to have not given it a chance. I did at least give it a fighting chance, and in a weird way I do like it, warts n' all. Unlike Accurascale who are taking a deposit for Deltics with a later request for full payment, SLW doesn't seem to 'explain' what will happen with 'reserve'. Can anyone enlighten me?
