reded23
For some reason I can't get my Z21 App or Z21 controller to work with DR5000. I have set it all up as required (see image) and they do connect to the Wifi OK...but just not the system....Any ideas ? Thanks Eddie
WIMorrison
Have you put the address of the DR5000 into he Z21 app and the Multimuas?
reded23
Yes, they are both connected to the DR5000 WiFi and have its address 192.168.16.254 set
KingEdwardII
I think you have the port number set incorrectly. Port 5550 is used for Loconet. For the Z21 Multimaus protocol, you need Port = 21105 as shown on p26 of the DR5000 manual. Yours, Mike.
reded23
Good catch (not sure why it didn't update when changing from Loconet)....But still no connection (I restarted everything after setting the correct port)
KingEdwardII
Are you using a home network or are you connecting direct to the DR5000? For the latter, you need to select Bridge mode, as on p27 of the DR5000 manual. Yours, Mike.
reded23
f Quote Thanks so much...we are getting somewhere. Someone on another post said that you couldn't do this through my home Wi-Fi, so I hadn't tried it. Anyway the Z21 App on my phone now works through my home WiFi to the DR5000....phew ;-) But the Z21 wifi handset still doesn't connect. Its connected to the home wifi but there isn't a setting for the DR5000's IP address so not sure how its going to find it ?
WIMorrison
There is a setting in the Wifi Multimaus for the Z21 Address - that is where you put the DR5000 address
reded23
Ha....I thought that was just showing the IP address of the handset, Doh. All working great now, thanks everyone for the help!!! I love the Digikeijs system and am running it with 80 Railcom detectors and Traincontroller....next is the turntable control.....
KingEdwardII
Great - glad it's sorted for you. Mike

WIMorrison
Change it to Gateway and ensure you are connected to DR5000 Wifi - when you are connected to the DR5000 you should see similar to the other pictures here
Andrea Nasso
Thx for your kindly feedback. changed to gateway and tested again connected to wifi DR5000 but still no good result. really don't understand why for sure i'm missing some config...
WIMorrison
You have no protocols set in the DR5000 - you need to select Z21 Protocol.

Radu IP
Hello! I'm new to this forum and I've searched the internet far and wide for an answer for a problem I have that I couldn't fix. It seems I might find my fix here. So, I have a DR5000 and I want to connect it to my home network and control my layout with my mobile devices which I want to have them connected to my home Wi-Fi. I don't want to switch to the DR5000 every time I want to run some trains. I will attach a scheme here to illustrate what I want. I've understood on this thread that reded23 managed to do such a thing. Can someone guide me through the set-up process for achieving such a thing? Thanks in advance!
