CDC is a good friend of mine & posted one of these to me shortly before Christmas. I had no idea it was on its way nor exactly what class it was, but he had lined & numbered it correctly to run on my layout!

I just need to give it a coat of varnish & get a suitable chassis for it.

I guess I also owe him a few beers once this becomes possible!

Looks good! 3D is certainly starting to open up many side alleys for modellers who pursue less well mainstream  supported byways. Wizard  does the old Mainly Train series of etches, one of which is  a fret of cab spectacle guards and has a choice of diameters. A very useful addition to the parts box.

Thanks for this Richard, website perused and the relevant fret duly ordered!

The photos are very cruel as they were taken in harsh summer light, in reality the model is very nice indeed, and as far as I know, the only way to get to a 419XX!

Hope this helps!

Cheers from Oz,

Peter C.

Isn't that the same LMS 2P 0-4-4T as the London Road Models kit is for? It has been available for at least twenty years.

Oh Boy

They should make you Sales Manager for CDC models! The above photographs have sold me anyway. Thank you so much.

My LRM one is coming along well, just detail parts and move some brake gear which is clashing,
