I still haven't found my Peak Forest 07 pictures yet.
Here are two from Kearsley Power Station.

I organised a trip here too.
We were given a crew and a loco to go up the incline to the Bolton line transfer sidings.
We really didn't do enough with it, ah lost opportunities.
I wish I'd taken close up shots of those wagons.
At least I got some shots.
Once again, the crew were fantastic to this bunch of lads.

That loco isn't very realistic. There's far too much daylight between the bogies and the body......

Didn't one of these end up at the Electric Railway Museum near Coventry airport? I'm sure I've seen it in preservation somewhere.

One is certainly at Marley Hill on the Tanfield.
They were RSH built, so they wanted one for their RSH collection.
There is another, I think, in the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, together with, I think, an Agecroft Power Station RSH tank.

That's the beast.
Interesting the difference between this and the Harton loco behind.

I remember seeing one of them at the The Great Railway Exposition at Liverpool Road Station in 1980, although I believe it was her sister loco No. 2.

That's the one that is still there, I think.

Kearsley No.4 (RSHN 7284) and one other were converted to battery-electrics, for use at Heysham nuclear power station. I visited with the IRS in September 1997 and had a cab ride in it.

If that is 3D printing, PLEASE let me know.

Hi Sandhole,

The clue is in that the drawing is pencil upon paper should that point you toward disappointment that you may have. Plasticard is my usual medium.

By all means use the dimensioned drawings I have found:

Holy SMEG. I wish I'd seen that. JOYOUS.

It wasn't until the Heysham photo was posted that I thought "I've seen one of those recently..."

Given that I haven't been able to visit as many places as usual in the past year (for obvious reasons..), I just rechecked through last years photos and found it!

The other Heysham battery loco conversion, which was at the Electric Railway Museum in Coventry has supposedly moved to the Colne Valley Railway in Essex - though it is not shown in the list of locos on their website.

It was so long ago I can't remember any details and to be honest until I saw the title and pics at the start of this thread I had forgotten where they were taken! The same trip took us to Stuart Street Power Station in Manchester and a site in Stalybridge that had a fireless loco. I've noticed the date is wrong it should be 1970!
