Rural areas from Southern Finland

Excellent scenic modelling.

Rather more impressive than the layouts or dioramas I saw in the railway museum at Hyvinkää, which I visited en route to visiting my parents when they lived in Kiruna over three decades ago.  There were several of these scenes, all captioned "model of the station privy at ..." various rural halts.  Each layout consisted of about a metre of single track with a low platform and one small wooden building, set in a forest.   At first I thought this must be the Finnish sense of humour, but on reflection I realised that Finland was a poor country and wayside stations only needed to provide the most basic of facilities.
