Allegheny1600
Hi All, I have recently discovered this French chap, Dominique Buraud who has built a wonderful layout in H0 scale called “Soumagnac” - I really think that the layout is one of the best I have seen. The builder has to rank equally with Josef Brandl or Gordon Gravett. Take a look here; Or here; Here is a series of four pages of photographs showing the layout; http://www.gilbert-gribi.com/ggribi/dombu.html Needless to say, I have searched the site to ensure no duplication, my apologies if you all know about him. Enjoy, John Edited March 21, 2021 by Allegheny1600 Add link
ianp
It is a huge and magnificent layout which is sometimes used by REE Models as a stage for publicity photographs of their latest engines, carriages and wagons.
Pacific231G
It is indeed a magnificent layout and has featured in one of Loco-Revue's Hors Serie. I don't though think it can be equated with Pempoul. Peco track and points and RTR rolling stock can;t really compare with Gordon and Maggie Gravett's superb modelling. I went to the big Orleans show a few years ago when Pempoul was being exhibited there. There was at least one layout there Jenesaizou that I think equalled Soumagnace but Pempoul was very definitely the show's star attraction.
