gaugemaster decoder

Yes it works.

But the Gaugemaster chip is not going to support RailCom.   You need primarily European made decoders for that.    (Gaugemaster rebadge other maker's DCC stuff, there decoders seem to come from two primary sources).

So, at a minimum, the auto-identification stuff that the ECoS can do won't work.   At worst the chip is sufficiently old in design that it runs erratically on a RailCom signal, so you'll have to turn off RailCom in the ECoS.     I'd not put up with the "at worst" having bought an expensive system which uses RailCom.   The "at best" may be liveable with.

Thanks for your comments, The gaugemaster decoder does work ok with railcom turned on,

I have run some  loco's  fitted with loksound v5 decoder they will only run on ECoS wih railcom turned on and there seams to be no problems, these are different to the old ones, they are not fitted with relay for  volt free contacts
