Western Star
Your model looks very neat and tidy so please tell us how you have constructed the model. regards, Graham
Gravy Train
Hi Western Star, thank you for the kind comments. I do this as a full time occupation, I think if you follow certain rules you are half way there. There are certain tools that are a must, a good steel ruler, measure then measure again, Engineers square to make sure everything is square/ at correct right angles etc. A good cutting knife, like. Swan Morton No3 for example. liquid glue like Mec pak, liquid poly or similar and not forgetting a cutting mat. I Work with all the materials available, mainly plasticard, as it is quicker to work with. Peter A L

Gravy Train
Hi Ian, thanks for your kind comments, the window sashes are made up with Evergreen micro strip plastic, glued directly onto the clear plastic sheet. Peter A L

Dave Holt
Lovely work, as usual, Peter. I'm following progress with the layout - mainly on Western Thunder - and your buildings will certainly enhance to scene. Dave.
Gravy Train
Hi Dave, yes the layout looks to be developing nicely, I have to admit that I had never heard of Basford North until recently, there is a New Basford but that is a typical GCR affair. This prototype is no longer with us, closed completely by 1967. I am currently building the station Building for it. dibateg
For whatever reason - I couldn't find your thread Peter - but I have now! The buildings look excellent - I'm looking forward to seeing further progress. The layout is moving on as you've seen! Best Regards Tony
