I believe Presflo wagons were introduced in 1959 or 60, and were in service for at least 20 years so in terms of eras, 4 to 6.  They were unusual for BR fitted wagons in not being 'XP' rated, but were carried as passenger train tail traffic on the Bala-Blaenau Festiniog (period spelling) by the authority of the local Sectional Appendix, with the tail lamp carried on the rear drawhook as the wagons had no lamp brackets at that time.  Lamp brackets were fitted after the 1969 single manning agreement allowed fully fitted freight trains to run without brake vans and the guard riding in the back cab of the loco.

According to Don Rowland's 'British Railway Wagons' the prototype Prestflo was built in 1954 and the first production batch (diagram 1/272) was built in 1955.
