Delph Goods Shed build

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

have been asked about how I construct my buildings, we I have to say I am allways discovering new ways, ideas etc, we never stop learning.

here is how I constructed a Goods shed in 2010.

ignore the curved look on some photos, it is camera distortion.

And very nice it is, too.

Here are a couple of shots of Peter's goods shed in position on the layout. It's surrounded by the cobbled yard roadway - embossed but not painted in these shots.

Might even get round to finishing the layout, eventually.

  • 2 weeks later...

The boards are aligned using pattern makers dowels (circular items outboard of the wing nut headed bolts) and held together by separate bolts into captive nuts. In the view of the end board, the bolts have been temporarily screwed into the nuts. Normally, they would pass through plain holes in the end of the next board.
