The wines were pretty good, but the cider was way too much for me, and others who tried it ...... incredibly strong, and with a pretty rough edge to it. Colour of it was interesting, quite a pinkish shade.

 

Doubtless their technique has refined over the years.

 

Funnily enough, here in Cornwall, still strong cider has a reddish hue, and is commonly known as 'Red Diesel'.

The Cantina on Mos Eisley where Luke Skywalker met Han Solo was filmed as a Cider Barn not far from my home - they used the regulars as extras because that didn't need make up or prosthetics
