Siku trams?

I found this, and a few others, when looking for tram models.

https://www.waterstones.com/product/local-tram///4006874616466?awc=3787_1617781276_982b6170d318fcad21f074fd8ac4200b&utm_source=259955&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=Genie+Shopping

Now to me, this looks a decent representation of a modern tram. Has anyone here any experience of them? Are they able to be motorised? I assume they are statics.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

steve

That looks more like some sort of low-floor diesel railcar to me than a tram.

They do make a model of a half-decent German articulated tramcar which I do have an example of somewhere, but it must be still sitting in a box from last years house move. I did find this with a quick online search....

...though that looks a somewhat more "upmarket" model to the one I have.  I'm sure they do a much larger scale model as well (1:50/1:43 ??)

A model of the push-a-long variety, though it might be possible to motorise it.

EDIT:  This is the one I have, although mine is in a sort of BVG Yellow livery

A good find, although not, as Johann says, a tram. Looks like a shortened version of an X73000 SNCF railcar but I think that I have seen the prototype of that model on local lines in Germany and Denmark.

At that price, definitely worth buying to see if you can motorise it.

Thanks Johann. I wasn't sure if that Bombadier one was legit as it looked very 'squashed'.

Thanks Joseph. I can see what you mean about the railcard resemblance. It would make a 'Rule 1' tram to my way of thinking, so I may well cop for one.

That one is on the Waterstones website here: https://www.waterstones.com/product/tram/4006874016150

It’s a bit confusing as the trams don’t seem to appear in all the sections in which they’re listed.

Are there any others?

Edit: they also have this: https://www.siku.de/en/sortiment/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/18246

And this: https://www.siku.de/de/sortiment/stra-enbahn-tra.html

Given the dimensions, is it really 1:16?

On the subject of scale, it says here they’re TT: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/mikepigottsdiecasttoysandmodels.wordpress.com/2020/07/29/siku-trains/amp/

But they might have made them in H0 more recently as well I suppose.

The yellow one I have is nowhere near HO scale, so TT would be more like it. I've got some "proper" HO scale tram models (Halling etc) and they are considerably larger than the Siku one.

So do we think they’re all TT?

The Bombardier one is supposed to be HO according to the website I linked to.  I have not seen that one anywhere before, so it may be a more recent product to a larger scale than the other car.
