The website seems over a year out of date; still advertising the 2020 Spring show? Can anyone tell me what the state of play as as I am interested in joining? Dungrange Posted April 15, 2021 Share Posted April 15, 2021 Their Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/NottinghamMRS) has a post dated 25 November 2020 about problems with their roof leaking and that they need to raise funds for repairs. It also highlights the problems with arranging meetings and fundraising, which is pretty much the situation with all clubs at the moment. My own club hasn't had a meeting at our clubroom since March 2020 due to Scottish Government restrictions that limit socialising to two households and although I've had a couple of membership enquiries over the last year, I can't invite prospective members for an introductory meeting as I would always have done in the past. I would however have expected the secretary to respond to an e-mail, even if they're not able to accommodate new members at the moment. I've advised enquirers that we are not having meetings, when we do, they'll be limited to groups of two or three existing members, but I'll get back in touch with them once things are closer to being back to normal and we know how the club will function moving forward. I'd have expected the same here, but there is always the possibility that the secretary is no longer in post and no-one is fulfilling that role. Would it be worthwhile contacting one of the other e-mail addresses on their website - eg submit a website query?
