Foreland
I am building an 'N' gauge layout featuring a stretch of line requiring SR conductor rails. Has anyone built a Southern Region layout and if so what did you use for conductor rails? John.
thirty2a
Peco do it for 00 not sure about N gauge though, been a few layouts in N over the years so someone will know.. Edited April 20, 2021 by thirty2a
Foreland
I think Peco use 'Z' scale rail for 00, but to me it looks too big for 'N' scale. John.
RMweb Gold Phatbob Posted April 20, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 20, 2021 (edited) PECO code 60 flat bottom rail is what they recommend to use with their third rail chairs in 00. PECO Z gauge track has code 60 rail, but some N gauge track and 2mm finscale track use rail smaller than the PECO Z (e.g. code 40). So, if you're using PECO "corse" N gauge track (code 80), maybe 2mm finescale code 40 rail would look about right?
