Rapido Trains North American products in the UK

Rapido Trains UK are pleased to offer Rapido Trains Inc. North American products to our UK and European customers.

 

We are able to accept pre-orders for products that are on open order books in North America. Nearly all of the items have now been uploaded onto our website and can be found here:

Unfortunately we are unable to hold general stock in our UK warehouse so pre-ordering is a must. Simply, the orders for a given product will be sent to us and we will then send them out to customers in the UK and Europe saving modellers the postage costs from Canada.

Rapido haven't announced an order deadline yet, so no estimate of delivery has been provided yet (they typically set an order deadline once samples are available and they can make a video)

For those that want to order through Rapido UK the only things currently on a pre-order deadline are the N scale New Look Bus and the HO NSC Barrel Ore Hoppers - both have a pre-order deadline of May 17th 2021 and the HO F59PH which has an order deadline of "Like, Right Now!" so order while you can.

Rapido in the US just announced a gorgeous looking SP C-40-3 Caboose in HO.

 

Will this be available through the UK based site please?

Currently I cannot say. We are reevaluating the North American items. Whilst in the early days we were petitioned to provide it because there was apparently a very large demand the reality has been the opposite. Couple to that that we struggle to keep up listing their new items with the small team we have makes everything very very hard.

I need to check with Rapido Canada to see if the reverse will be true. Shipping from the UK to Canada has become a major expense, so being able to either ship from Galactic HQ in Markam or even pick up at their warehouse on those times we pass through when visiting family in Toronto would represent a significant saving.
