RMweb Gold Sweet pea Posted April 28, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) Can I ask what is the best way of removing the decals from the cab doors of my John Dewar Ruston loco, without spoiling it. Gerrard
I've seen that careful use of T-Cut on a cotton bud can remove them without damage. May take a little patience though and watch out you don't go through the paint layer.
Barclay
You could try a decal softening solution, it shouldn't harm the paint.
RMweb Gold Mick Bonwick Posted April 29, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2021 Are they transfers or are they tampo printed? Transfers will come off quite easily with IPA or T-Cut, but tampo printing will take a lot of work to remove accurately if you don't want to damage the surrounding white paint surface.
