Nice, you're getting a nice roster together now. It was such a shame when TYS had to go along with all your stock, I feared we wouldn't see the likes again, but I'm happy to see that's not the case.

I've been quite lucky getting the stock together, in terms of right place, right time. None of them were particularly expensive either, which is quite surprising given the availability of US stock in the UK.

I learnt a lot from TYS. While the track plan was interesting, it was an absolute pain to switch. My fiddle yard solution of the loco lifts to move stock never really work, and I never got round to sorting it out. And after 3 years, it had become a bit tedious. But, you can never stay away for long.

Interesting comment. Backs up the sort of thing Lance Mindheim wrote about - the real Railroads design track layouts to be switched efficiently, not 'look interesting' or provide a 'challenge' for the crew.

Neat job on the Geep, especially the curve between yellow & blue on the long hood. :good:

Thank you, that was painted by hand!

The yard was fine, but swapping around in the fiddle yard was a nightmare.
