RMweb Premium RobAllen Posted May 9, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 9, 2021 Does anyone know where I can find pictures of Twerton siding? Also, where exactly was it? Is there a map that shows it as I can’t find it on the NLS maps.
RailWest
This siding was on the Down side of the S&DJR single-line, just over ¾-mile from Bath Junction, almost directly opposite the site of the original Bath Ticket Platform. It's on NLS maps at https://maps.nls.uk/view/106019264 if you look near the bottom of the sheet just left of the middle. See also http://www.trainweb.org/railwest/railco/sdjr/bath-jcn.html#TCS . For a photo, see Plate 29 in the relevant Middleton Press volume.

KeithHC
There is an info board next to the twin tunnels path at the location as well. I passed it a few times when running in the twin tunnel race series. Keith

Haven't done one since just before lockdown, must have another pop at one, they are well organised and enjoyable events. 1
