I have started the remaining windows, making them from plastic strip.

They are all the same size so I am making them all in one piece to be cut into four individual window units later.

That will ensure all the horizontals line up correctly.

Cheers

Hi David, the holiday is going great thanks. Very hot today.

What loco and rolling stock are you planning on having?

Cheers, Ade.

The classic mixed Dornoch branch train of the last couple of years of branch operation. A 16xx pannier (no 1649), a Stanier brake corridor composite and an ex LMS van. It is amazing to think two ex South Wales panniers ended their days north of Inverness.

Lovely model making David! There is something very satisfying about creating models of the old stations!

Thanks so much Marlyn. I have really enjoyed making it. You are right,I think making Far North Line structures can be quite addictive. (And I do have another spare door!)

Cheers

With the diorama all but complete my thoughts have turned to the train to put on it. I decided to attempt a kit first before scratchbuilding the train. I chose something easy! À NBR diagram77 3 plank wagon. The kit is by Williams Models. The body is made of plywood and the first thing I did was cut the base to the wrong size! So my base is plastic.
