Just to suggest a date, how about Sunday 7th November 2021 ?

This would be an extra show, and of course is subject to restrictions, etc allowing it to go ahead.

Rules me out I’m afraid. Subject to Boris we are already booked to be much farther west. Pendeen in fact. Unable to gain a Certificate of Release from SWMBO for that one as it’s likely to be our only trip away this year

Please Note:

I've started a new thread for the potential show in November,  this thread can now revert to just next April's event.

Tidy. No changes. In for both.

It's a few more miles than 76 miles for me...hmmm.  Next April in England is a possibility...

It's 36 miles to the nearest airport with a direct flight to Heathrow and will there be a "Great" British Railway carriage to take me to Taunton?

Real pasty with chopped lamb and swede? One can only dream!

Real pasties contain skirt beef not sheep ;)  and swede is called "turnip" in Cornwall and when included in Cornish pasties.  What they do east of the Tamar in the name of "pasty" sometimes (and in Callington all the time :( )  beggars belief.

No.  But there will be a Great Western Railway one.  GBR arrives on the scene a little later starting in 2022-3 in many cases.  If Uncle Boris and his Merry Men approve.

My mate was married to a Cornish lass who claimed a real pasty was fish (what ever was left over from the catch the day before) and tater. Her dad was a fisherman.  So even the yokels can't agree what its contents should be.

Our local Morrisons do a nice breakfast pasty.

Damn, going to have to skip this as 24th is my birthday - don’t think it will go down too well in the household if I disappear for train indulgence  :(

Was looking forward to the 2020 one before it was (understandably) culled…

sad to say that our local Morrisons doesn't do a very good breakfast pasty. To their credit, they do make a nice corned beef slice, steak slice, or sometimes, apple pies. The so-called breakfast slice over here has no real substance, and sometimes need a straw to eat it.  The IoW branch is normally quite good, as is Brynmawr.

Are the Locomotives of Beaminster Road  of interest, the group’s layout is permanent but we have a little display thingy with a moving picture screen that shows their construction and the actual prototypes. A few SWAG members were involved and it might be something different.
