spenc Posted May 15, 2021 Share Posted May 15, 2021 (edited) Well having sold my 0 gauge stuff last year due to ill health to which hopefully I am on the turning point but still getting off days as feeling so tired and having time off work, my bus licence runs out in September so decided not to renew that might help me and just find a part time job my wife knew I miss my models we was talking about it she asked what scale would I do again so I said N that was the first layout I built many moons ago so over the last few months wife and my daughter been buying trains and track,boards she was watching what I was looking at on the Internet I was like a kid in a candy shop so got the making of a N gauge layout still lots to do it's so nice of them plus it's lifted me a bit at the moment I have 2x 68s direct & transpennine,2x156s transfers emt & northern,X country voyager & a 350emu started putting transfers on for transpennine 2 sets of nova coaches on order to the layout it's end to end (300cm x 30cm) 180cm scenic 3 platforms OHLE with the wire's as my wife got me a 350emu. Tracks down platforms on station building done not fixed down yet retaining walls on here some pictures. spenc Posted June 6, 2021 Author Share Posted June 6, 2021 Managed to do some more on the layout finished the gantries they was just a bit fidderley being so small few burnt finger's but done now put primer on might leave them that shade of grey then pick out the insulators in brown when the primer drys one of the gantries go through the canopy roof so will have to sort that out painted the side's of track aswell so ballast next got to order some guitar strings for the wires that's going to be fun. 3 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

spenc Posted July 29, 2021 Author Share Posted July 29, 2021 Had a couple of hours spare today so managed to finish my 350 unit so decoders fitted and all TPE vinyls on, next is to make a start on the nova 1 still waiting for the decoders, still haven't ordered guitar strings yet for the overhead and make start on the station area. Fiddleyard starting to fill now, line1& 2 two nova 3s will be coupled to the 68s,line 3 will have the nova 1, line 4 voyager,line 5. 350TPEemu,line 6 185TPE line 7&8 two 156s in northern & EMR liverys still need 150 plus one or two more so still plenty to do. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

spenc Posted August 8, 2021 Author Share Posted August 8, 2021 I made a start on the OHLE today I was about to lose the the will to live solder wires burn finger's, stick guitar wire in fingers, resolder bits I already done I think I must stop listening to voices in my head and keep it simple but luckily I ran out of strings so got to order more this is what I have done so far.185 body's have come back so I will get them cleaned up ready for the primer and paint the parts that needs doing. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
