I have been given the above controller for my boy's to use on their train layout.

There is no model number on the case so I can only tell you the functions it has in the hope someone recognizes it's identity.

The functions are Main Power  and Direct Power  ( both variable )

Three switched positions for Braking ,  one for Coast

And a Forward  - Reverse switch.

The variable output voltage remains at 12v and is un-controllable.

Does anyone have a schematic for this, or any other Codar Controller that I can use to repair this unit.

Many Thanks

Mike

I have instructions for the CM1 and SM1 units but no circuit diagrams.

I think I bought the first one nearly 50 years ago.

I had a problem with it when the rotary function selector switch fell apart internally. I never had the full skill/couage to take it out and replace it, but I have two replacement units which still work.

Thanks to those who replied to my original request.

I have drawn out the circuit and have since used more available components to rebuild the unit.  A few of the resistors needed changing to match the new transistor characteristics

but all is now functioning.
