But I'm not really a fan of the format. Some would be better as a proper book. Some are good quality, some are terrible (especially anything WWII related). For examples of the good. Things like Diesel Dawn, Wheels of Industry, the recent Modelling Wagons one, etc. The bad. Most of the preserved railway ones and ones with titles like "Legendary Locomotives", "Great British Railway Firsts", "Record Breakers", "Britain's Fastest Trains", etc. There have been about four on Brunel for some reason. If you look in WH Smiths there are loads. Virtually nothing in them. How many do we need on Mallard? There are currently three to my knowledge. Nothing against the authors as I'm sure they are just doing what they are being paid to do by the publishers or can see a gap in the market. But most aren't for me.
