Matt
Now I know lots of you took great photos from Greenhill Lower junction bridge cos I’ve seen them online or in books and indeed some of you may have been responsible for inspiring me to model this location. But who paid attention or pointed their lens at the bridge itself? I’ve constructed a pseudo version of the bridge but am left wondering what colour the steel beams were painted around 1990? Have seen more recent pix but assume could have changed colour over time? Anyone recall? Thanks in advance, Matt
jeff mcghie
this photograph on rail-scot is from 1990 and shows the beams as being plain grey on the rail side. https://www.railscot.co.uk/img/51/315/
Matt
Thanks Jeff. I had seen that image before but couldn’t find when I was looking for it... in my head it was blue so shows how memory plays tricks. Appreciate the posting - some interesting detailing in that photo too. M
