A similar product is/was available from your favourite Swedish meatball store, the name of which escapes me, but I'd wager it had at least one K in it!

your favourite Swedish meatball store,

That must be the same meatball company that's just been fined for having an annual budget of  €600,000  (in only one country) to spy on current & prospective employees and collude with the French police in illegal activities?

Oh, oh, our naughty neighbours.

Hi everyone,

Steam yesterday, electric today!

Woodhead always comes to mind with MGR hoppers and electric traction...

10/02/1981 - near Crowden, High Peak, Derbyshire.

76 007 & 008 at Torside (R224)

Now then, if you made a 76, then i would be in a state of serious financial ruin....

Anybody want to buy a kidney, one previous (not so careful) owner, reasonable condition for year (1966).....

HEAs https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brhba  Rather more useful as models than HAAs.

Oh I know what they are, but for me they only come in Bauxite with maybe a splash of red on one or two, a bit like my vans.

I'm just totting up whatever else Accurascale might venture into as they seek to become King Coal.

Hi everyone,

So, we've had steam and electric, but the MGR hoppers will always be synonymous with diesel power. Funny that @Porcy Mane brought up 58s, for it was receiving the "Midnight Freight" train set as a lad that gave me my very first HAA hopper model and confirmed it as one of my all time favourite wagons.

Of course where would coal trains be without Class 47/3s

47301 Knotingley 5-6-79

A beacon of light!

47373 - Retford

And of course the early years of MGRs...

Welsh coal for England

Pairs of choppers always made for a fine sight, too!

Chesterfield Choppers

Or a single..

20207 South MGR hoppers 240879 C L Caddy

37s naturally...

Loadhaul double

Accuratrain!

Study in blue

Carlisle MGR

Bone idols...

RFT44-37

A bit of 24 action!

24023 (vacuum braked ?) on MGR Toton Yard February 1977-ish

Whistlin' along

Off and Running.

Double dutch!

Double Dutch At Milford Junction.

Peak Practice

Meanwhile, Back At Ratcliffe on Soar.

Gronk fun!

Coal for the Ferry

Who doesnt like a nice tug?

And of course, since all the chatter and requests are around 56s at the moment, the National Grid needs Grid Power!!

Pimp my grid

Cheers!

I'm thinking my largest Fiddle Yard siding can 'just about' accommodate this.

46 of the rebodied required at some stage Fran! (Oh and the 3 x 37 would be nice too!).

Complete with an ill health smoking box and badly applied large logo numbers for 145 please!

This is how I remember them and on jointed track too, not your modern fandangled welded track, proper joints for the train to bounce along with - the sound of the 47 approaching and then the rhythmic clang of the wheels on the joints.

The only thing better - a 37 on a loose coupled train of minerals...
