Looking forward to next payday so I can order some.

I originally set up this coal compilation for the other guys.

It starts at the last post on page 17 continuing onto page 18.

So what youre all saying is everything apart from a class 01 shunter hauled them?  Go on, i challenge anyone to find a pic of 01002 on an mgr!

Never say never. One of the East Midland pits in the Langley Mill area had an 02 and would be seen on MGR's, but I can't find a photo.

In the meantime, here's a close but no cigar.

I can't find a Deltic hauling HAAs. This is the best I've managed to find so far:

I can't find any AC electrics other than Classes 86 and 92s.

YES!!!

I got a stern message from a buddy yesterday that I neglected some workings north of the border. In the interest of fairness, and with the big match later on, here is some signature Scottish traction!

And what better to go alongside our MGRs than our HUOs?? Two elements of our "Powering Britain" series.

Wot no Western? Pretty sure @Downendian of this parish has the evidence.....

Hi Phil,

I don't think I have any Westerns on MGRs, but they certainly worked them from South Wales, I remember seeing them. Look at this lovely Flickr shot (Jumper)

Swindon Western Lord D1047

Almost certainly from South Wales D1047 being assisted by a 37 at Swindon. I do remember one MGR service being routinely double headed, normally 2x47 or ocassionally peak plus 47. Class 37s were routinely used as bankers from the Severn tunnel, but I do especially remember this on the Danygraig-Stratford freightliner (4E70). These normally detached at Stoke Gifford, I'm guessing it was different operationally with a fully loaded MGR with Welsh black gold.

Any pictures out there of HAA HOP AB in the early years (65/66), hauled by green diesels (era 5)?

This 47 has gained a TOPS number, but gives you the idea...
