I hope you are not trying to imply that there was a deliberate attempt to damage a competitors' products by a factory, unless you have firm evidence to back that up?  You could be hearing from their lawyers if you continue to make statements like that.

Which also affected Bachmann models so impure supply in general not specific to one box colour.

Interesting thought.  I have only heard of plastic moulding work appearing in factories not normally working for Hornby and don't forget that poor quality mazak )or an imitation thereof) has appeared in models made by other than Hornby so is really a wider specification/QC issue.  And don't forget that the factories use various bought-in parts from other suppliers.
