Just watched the accompanying BRM TV for July and Phil Parker’s demonstration of lettering and numbering wagons using a mapping pen and white ink, which has inspired me to get hold of a mapping pen and white link and have a go.

 

I especially liked his comments on rivet counting and being satisfied when a model looks right.  Perhaps there’s a lesson there for those on RMWeb who can’t get no satisfaction.
