Hi does anyone have any details of the two Flameproofed Hudswell Clarke 0-4-0 engines one of which was delivered  in 1950 to the Anglo Iranian Oil Company in Iran and the other D697 because Iran’s  oil industry was nationalised was sent to the newly named Scottish Oils Ltd in Grangemouth who later became British Petroleum so probably BP’s first loco. I have recently bought this engine oops and there is a little work to do on it but I wondered if anyone has any information about this engine. I am particularly interested in the colours of the original Iranian Oil and Scottish Oils I know it spent some time at Youngs Paraffin  and was given a 25% paraffin  diesel mix to fun on which is making my job a little more difficult than just diesel.u3D93457E-834A-4089-9C2C-27F92C879D1A.jpeg.88132ddfd4f0cd9d843ceb78dceed5f4.jpeg

Hi you might want to repeat this question in the Standard Gauge Industrial section where there would be more interest and also great knowledge of things arcane and industrial...

Good effort by the way !
