009 wheels. Help needed, please.

Ages ago, I’m sure I came across a manufacturer of wheels, including curved spoke wheels. I’ve looked everywhere I can think of and cannot find them again.

 

Can anyone please help? I need them to complete a Dick Kerr petrol-electric loco in 009

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried Dundas Models? They stock just about every 009 wheel there is.

If the original wheel you need was made by Alan Gibson then you are probably out of luck, they are not interested in making 009 wheels any more.

Did you find the wheels? I am using 10.5mm curved spoke wheels from Alan Gibson. They are in their catalogue I think under an OO/HO section.

No, I’ve sent a number of emails to Alan Gibson, but have not received a reply.

Are yours wheels that you bought ages ago, or did you manage to get some recently? Would be very interested to know.

It was at the start of July. Took a few days to get a response but once they got back to me the order came fairly quickly.

 

It was #7012 on page 30 of their catalogue. They are 7mm NARROW GAUGE ROLLING STOCK WHEELS 10.5mm Curly spoke wheel.
