I’m glad you approve, I’ve not done much with the layout since so here’s another picture to tide you over

Still no progress unfortunately. The next exciting thing will be the 56s arriving,

anybody got advice on keeping the track clean as the dirty track has led to dirty wheels and poor running which is a bit of a downer

david

IPA and a rag works for me, I would also be tempted to paint the loft, you have some bare brickwork which is great at generating dust.

Very nice!

Still waiting for mine from Rails of Sheffield who when I spoke to them said their delivery has not arrived.

Everyone else seems to have had them

Hopefully it won’t be too much longer for you, what livery have you picked?

Today I’ve reuploaded most of the pictures to the thread and removed some of the other missing ones I couldn’t replace they may not all be the same as the originals but it at least means anyone new to the thread I will get what’s going on

I will also have an update proper very shortly all my parcels arrived and the 56s are moving forward

I have still been modelling I’m just terrible at keeping threads up to date so here is my ‘progress’ in something resembling time order

first of all both 56s are now numbered named and most importantly dcc sound fitted

56071 and 56093 The Institution of Mining Engineers

next came something quite drastic

6F4D1EB3-75CE-40C5-B20E-217B65AFD447.jpeg.88852b3030da3899ae7e46a708343ef0.jpeg

back to bare baseboards adjusted all the legs to the same length , a full track relay and a proper dcc bus installed currently the outer circuit has been relayed and the inner track is half done and the point to the siding installed including a point motor
