RMweb Gold Rowsley17D Posted January 24, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2022 Nice looking shed. I take it is not in its final position though.
RMweb Gold Graham T Posted January 24, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2022 No, that was just for the purposes of the photo. It will live next to its posher brother, on the goods yard approach road.

MrWolf
Looking at the size and shape of the panels and the size of the corrugations, I'd say yes. There was a lot of the material left over after the war.
JeffP
I remember aged about 5 "helping" my grandpa and my dad build a shed like that in my grandpa's back garden for a coal store.
RMweb Premium John Besley Posted April 29, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 29, 2022 Just stumbled into this shed thread.... Is it still live, hopefully there will be pictures at some point The randomness of sheds appeals to me... Does it include lean to's
MrWolf
Yes, as well as the obviously neglected version, the lean away.. We need to repopulate this thread with pictures of worthy sheds.
MrWolf
A selection of my favorites: A row of garages that probably started life as a cart shed and stable.. An old shepherds hut minus its wheels and axles. The good old railway box van. This is a plywood example from the 40s or 50s.. This is one I'd like to make a model of. Maybe even backdate it to the 30s. Nowhere to put it though! Distant view. Remains of a Nissen hut containing a stripped out Sunbeam-Talbot 90. A water wheel pump house, something that came up recently in a thread Little things for outside the railway fence. This looks like a Lych gate,, but I suspect that it is the cover for a spring or well. A good mix of materials and weathering on a typical 19th century farm building. 11

Got a varied collection of pictures Of course, previously we managed to cram in workshops, rural garages and military buildings, as long as they had character.

Martyn Martyn, if you need inspiration, try this wondrous book. There always seem to be a copy in local bookshops It isn’t so much about the barns but the supporting players, sheds, linhays, etc. all in colour. MrWolf
That outside framed van looks like a Midland Railway ten tonner. Definitely been there a while, whatever it is.
