railwayrod
Hi Richard. Welcome to the 0 gauge fold and I must say that your first venture into the King of gauges is fantastic. May I ask about the machinery in the shed, is it kit or scratch built or was it off the shelf? Do keep the photos coming and keep up the great work that you are doing. ricboo
Hi Rod, thanks for the comments, most of the equipment in the shed is 3d printed bought from Facebook and Ebay
RMweb Gold jcarta Posted July 7, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 7, 2021 Dawes Road is a cracking layout but can I ask what grade ballast you have used as it suits the layout really well. Absolutely love the layout .... Well done Jim 1

pwr
Richard I would be very interested to know how you did the rivets. I am facing a similar conundrum with my APT in that the trailer cars are covered with them and I am making them out of plastikard. Not yet found a solution other than thinking of Peco track pins. Paul R Hi Paul, apologies thought I had replied to this- just getting used to the forum. The rivets are by slaters and come on an a4 sheet. I have seen it done with a rivet tool, like a blunt compass and a hammer, there are also transfers you can get as well. Thanks Richard
ricboo
A bit more progress today. Have weathered the runner wagons, joined the with the Y couplings to the main crane and added 3 link couplings. 8
