What locomotives ran to Barrow-in-Furness?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering what types of locomotives were stationed at Barrow and ran to it with passenger services? I am looking specifically at it in LMS service from 1923 to about 1935.

Now that is an interesting question, since there is a link to this earlier topic of yours:

Not on passenger service, but two of the G&SWR 279 class spent time on ex-Furness Railway lines soon after the grouping. The engines were 75 and 84 (1919 numbers) and there is a picture of 84, in G&SWR colours, at Ulverston.

Ah, well that is quite ironic. Very interesting, thanks.
