Modifying and weathering Hornby TTA tank wagons

I was recently asked to repaint and weather a rake of Hornby TTA tank wagons.

it was an enjoyable project, i stripped them all down, repainted and replaced the ladders, followed by some simple weathering. 

 

a video of the weathering can be seen here. 

 

 

replacing the wheels and ladders, along with a new paint job/transfers really did transform these old tooling wagons.  More could have een done, but working within the budget i was set, i think they've come out really well.

Where did you source the replacement ladders please? Having just looked at my Texaco examples from years ago (can't remember when they were last out of the box) I discovered that they didn't have any ladders and so would like to remedy.
