Hello Tim

I'm afraid I am unable to answer that one. My son was only there for a short while (and he's not a railfan!). A staff member on site offered assistance but wasn't an English speaker.

Perhaps an email to the Museum might get an answer?

Looking closely at the end of the car, there is an exhaust pipe to the right of the AC unit  and clearly a radiator of an engine in the central area below the AC unit, so almost certainly a generator unit for the AC and possibly elsewhere on the train.

Thanks for sharing those, Brian they brought back memories of a holiday in Jordan and Israel in the mid-90. although the Hejaz Railway eluded us we did see the Jordan - Aqaba Railway in the desert. (Now who makes a GE U17C? )
