Heljan OO Gauge AEC Railcar and DCC

Hi, just taken delivery of the above lovely new model from Heljan. I want to use a LaisDcc 21 pin chip in it. My question is, how do I get the cabs and interior lights to operate via my Z21 controller. I appreciate remapping of function keys may be required, but my initial researches have just left me confused at a higher level! Any help gratefully received, and apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place.
