RMweb Premium Gremlin99 Posted September 5, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 5, 2021 Ok. I lasted a week. Aaaaaand succumbed after seeing the real thing at the GCR Diesel Gala today. (It was only a matter of time. I’m local to the GCR and have spent many a happy Saturday morning watching assorted locos go by at Rothley, including this beast!)
JN
https://www.class37.co.uk/fleet.aspx?strnumber=37714 is a resource of information for people wanting to know a little more detail about the locomotive. I can't believe its exhaustive detail, but does give a guide to its locations, pools and the types of train it hauled.

Global
Am I correct in assuming this will be in its current as preserved condition rather than late 80s/90s in service condition? I think there are a few (minor) differences in small details between the two? The overhead warning flashes for example. Cheers.
PieGuyRob
Happy to say I have one on order. Between this, the locomotion 37 and the new 31's, I think Accurascale are becoming the new custodians of my bank account. 1 1

RMweb Gold Bucoops Posted June 6, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 6, 2022 Whoops, I did it again... As I model (or attempt to!) 1939, I *really* don't need a green deltic let alone a blue one, nor do I need a green 37 let alone a trainload metals one. It felt "rude" having two deltics on order but only one 37. Problem solved... Wonder how many of the 504 (strange number - what's the relevance?) are left? Fortunately for me, I have zero interest in 31s and 92s. The 89 on the other hand... nudge nudge wink wink!

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted June 7, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 7, 2022 Hi everyone, Actually, we will have news on this later this week! 10 hours ago, TomScrut said: Not sure, but aren't Bachmanns limited runs 504 sometimes? Hmmm, probably because the former CEO of Bachmann commissioned this model, being part owner of the loco and the figure stuck in his head! Cheers! Fran I spoke to someone who used to work at Bachmann and the figure of 504 models was to do with the number they could get into a carton. Nothing sinister lol. 3

RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted September 8, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 8, 2023 Hi Accurascale and The Heavy Tractor Group, I wonder if you can help me please? The model of 37714 is it being produced in 1980s/1990s condition with the old style warning flashes and any other features it had during this period or current as preserved condition as it is now operating on the Great Central Railway with modern warning flashes and any other features that suit this period? If it’s being produced in its current condition with modern warning flashes I’m considering asking if any models are available to pre-order. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards, Danny.
